Rohit Pawar is MLA from Karjat-Jamkhed constituency since October 2019. He is committed to building a better Maharashtra providing opportunity, platform and environment for youth to achieve their dreams. He also holds the position of CEO in Baramati Agro. He has successfully held the position of President of Indian Sugar mills association during 2018-19. In 2017, he had contested and won Zilla Parishad elections from Shirsufal in Baramati Taluka, Pune. Constructive politics always fascinated him since childhood and with a backing of a strong will to work for the welfare of the people, Rohit Pawar decided to be a part of the active politics in Maharashtra to become a contributing member of the society. He aims to provide the best opportunities to the youth for employment and entrepreneurship. One such initiative in this direction is the establishment of ‘Karjat-Jamkhed integrated development foundation’. This foundation has been established for the sustainable development of Karjat and Jamkhed area with the support of community, individuals, organisations, and government institutions. KJIDF is devoted to working in various sectors such as Agriculture, Environment, Tourism, Livelihood, Skill Development, Women Empowerment, Health, Nutrition, Education, Digital Transformation, Arts and Culture, Youth Development, Sports, Disaster Relief and social Awakening. This is going to provide a huge platform for the local youth and women for employment as well as entrepreneurship opportunities.

Rohit’s mother Mrs. Sunandatai, is a self-made businesswoman and social activist who is working for women empowerment all her life. Bhimthadi jatra, an event that provides employment opportunities to thousands of self-help groups and women, is Sunandatai’s brainchild.
Rohit’s father, Rajendra D Pawar is an agriculturist and socialist who is following his father’s footsteps and continuing the work of ‘Agriculture Development trust’ and Baramati Agro Ltd. Both started by his father, Dr. Appasaheb Pawar.
